Position: Carpenter Supervisor
Wage: CAD$ 38.00/hour
Types: Full-time, Permanent (various shifts, including morning, evening, weekends, and holidays)
Working hours: 30~40 hours/week
Benefits: 4% of vacation pay, Extended medical insurance
Job Duties:
• Supervise, coordinate, and schedule daily activities for carpenters on construction and renovation projects across commercial and residential sites
• Develop and maintain work schedules, ensuring smooth coordination with other departments and project teams.
• Manage the requisition and inventory of materials, tools, and supplies.
• Identify and resolve work-related issues, recommending process improvements to enhance productivity and workflow efficiency.
• Train team members or arrange appropriate training to support skill development and performance.
• Participate in staffing decisions, including hiring, performance evaluations, and promotions.
• Enforce and uphold workplace safety standards, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
• Prepare project schedules, progress reports, and other required documentation
• Train or arrange for training of workers
Job Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school;
• Minimum 3 years experience as a qualified carpenter or cabinetmaker are required.
• Journeyman/woman trade certification as a carpenter or cabinetmaker is an asset
Language at work: English
