Job Description:
Main Duties:
• Interior Door Installation
• Trim works such as install casing, baseboard, crown molding etc.
• Cabinet Installation
• Stair Cladding, railing Installation
• Wood paneling Installation
• Hardwood flooring Installation
• Verifies drawing, written specifications, and choices of materials
• Estimate materials and labors costs
Requirement:
• Completion of secondary school is usually required.
• Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program or post-secondary training in carpentry or a related trade is an asset.
• At least 2 years of experience as a carpenter, finish carpenter, or in a related carpentry trade.
• Experience in residential and/or commercial interior finishing is required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
• Experience installing interior doors, trim, baseboards, casings, crown mouldings, cabinets, stair cladding, railings, wood paneling, and hardwood flooring.
• Ability to accurately measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wood and other construction materials.
• Ability to estimate material quantities and labour requirements for assigned projects.
• Knowledge of building materials, carpentry techniques, and construction safety practices.
• Proficient in the safe use of hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods, climbing ladders, and performing repetitive tasks.
• Valid driver's licence is an asset.
