Job Description:
We are currently recruiting for a Carpenter to join our growing team.
Job Requirements:
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform precise layout work and interpret drawings/specifications accurately;
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes;
• Make some special items, such as open shells, L-shaped, irregularly shaped drawers, wood countertop, etc.;
• Perform finish carpentry tasks such as installation interior and exterior trim, wood restoration and finishing, door hanging and hardware installation, window trim and sill installation;
• Maintenance, repairing problems in customers' homes such as replacing doors or hardware, adjusting door hinges to meet customer requirements, repairing some cabinet defects;
• Instruct apprentices in some basic techniques.
• Other duties as assigned.
Employment Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school
• Minimum 7 months of carpentry experience
• Strong knowledge of layout techniques, measurement, and structural carpentry practices
Salary: $36/hour for 30 hours per week
Job Type: Permanent Full-time Position
Language Requirement: Fluency in written and spoken English.
