equipment, labour, materials, and infrastructure, allowing projects to be executed efficiently from site preparation through to finished construction.
We are seeking a Construction Carpenter to perform a wide range of general and structural carpentry tasks on residential and commercial job sites. This is not a finish carpenter role. The work focuses on framing, formwork, structural installation, and general construction support. The position requires a self-motivated, practical individual who can work independently, follow plans, and adapt to changing site needs. The carpenter will be expected to work safely, efficiently, and as part of a team in a fast-
paced construction environment. The successful candidate will be a hands-on construction carpenter with experience in framing, formwork, and general site carpentry. This role suits someone comfortable working on active job sites, reading plans, working with minimal supervision, and contributing wherever needed on site.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
1. Construct, install, and repair structural woodwork including framing for floors, walls, roofs, and formwork
2. Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and basic construction plans
3. Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and engineered building materials
4. Assist with concrete formwork, temporary structures, and site preparation
5. Install structural components such as beams, trusses, joists, and wall systems
6. Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
7. Work on residential and commercial job sites as required
8. Maintain quality control and ensure work meets building standards and specifications
9. Follow all site safety rules and wear PPE at all times
10. Assist with general construction tasks as required (material handling, site setup, cleanup)
11. Work independently or as part of a crew under site supervision
12. Be flexible with work hours and tasks based on project requirements
Key Knowledge:
1. Structural framing methods and construction techniques
2. Safe operation of hand and power carpentry tools
3. Understanding of construction drawings and measurements
4. Knowledge of building materials and fasteners
5. Job-site safety practices and hazard awareness
6. Understanding how individual workmanship impacts project timelines and cost
Key Skills:
1. Strong practical carpentry skills
2. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
3. Good problem-solving ability on site
4. Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
5. Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
6. Ability to work in varying weather conditions (cold, wet, heat, dust, noise)
7. Team-oriented with a strong work ethic
8. Willingness to work extended hours when required
9. Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
