Pause Design Inc.
222 Coxwell Avenue, Toronto, ON, M4L 3B2
We are currently searching for a Carpenter.
Work Location:
Various sites in the GTA
Duties:
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Build Foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect wall and roof systems
• Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware
Applicants must be able to demonstrate extensive experience in carpentry maintenance and repair.
You will be required to train apprentices and labours.
Work Setting:
Construction, Renovation, in primarily Residential with occasional Commercial work
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads, large workload, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Work with minimal supervision
Work Site Environment:
Noisy, dusty
Equipment and machinery experience:
Hand tools
Own Tools/Equipment:
Tools, Safety equipment/gear, Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/googles, hard hat
Requirements:
• Two to three years of work experience in finish carpentry or general renovations.
• Class G driver’s licence.
Credentials:
CPR Certificate
Terms of Employment:
Permanent Position/40 hours per week
Hours of Work:
8h shifts from Monday to Friday. Hours vary on project from 07:00 -15:00 to 09:00 - 17:00
