Carpenter Job

Position: Carpenter (NOC: 72310)
Position Available: 2
Terms of Employment: Full Time (Overtime, weekends if required)
Wage: $36.50 per hour, for 35 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Airdrie, AB
Job Duties:
• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Prepare tenders and quotations
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
• Supervise other workers
Job Requirements:
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Work Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Language: English
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically Demanding, Tight Deadlines
Weight handling: Up to 20 kg (50 lbs)
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Personal Suitability: Punctuality, Client Focus, Excellent Oral and written Communication Team player
