Caregiver for a person with disabilities
The Dhillon Family is looking for a care provider for an elderly person with disabilities to be cared for at their residence.
These are the responsibilities of the position:
• Provide the elderly person with companionship and personal care at the employer’s home under the direction of family members
• Assist with regular exercise
• Shop for food and household supplies related to the elderly person
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and keep track of medications as prescribed by the doctor and under the supervision of family members.
• Assist with personal hygiene
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties related to the elderly person
• Perform other related duties as required.
Requirement
• Completion of secondary school.
• 7 -12 months of formal training or equivalent experience in a caregiving-related field
• Ability to communicate in English
• Ability to communicate in Punjabi would be considered an asset.
Wages: $22.00/hr for 35 hours per week.
Work setting: Private home located near Bowery Rd and Oak Park Rd, Brantford, BC
