CAD Drafter & Templator Job

As a Drafter, you will play a crucial role in translating customer designs into
detailed technical drawings and models for fabrication and installation. Your
expertise will contribute significantly to the success of our projects and client satisfaction.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
● Translate customer designs into detailed technical drawings and models.
● Prepare complete fabrication drawings for both shop and installation use.
● Generate accurate CAD drawings from measurements and specifications.
● Convert DXF files into CAD drawings for product fabrication.
● Program and interpret complex drawings and specifications, including electronic andhandmade drawings, for equipment use.
● Collaborate with Project Managers, installers, and production personnel to resolvespecification issues, quality concerns, and fabrication changes.
● Understand and apply knowledge of materials, colors, and industry definitions such as edgelamination, seams, and polish.
● Print templates from CAD files and perform continuous measurement conversions (metric tostandard or fractions).
● Ensure drawing compliance with existing standards and deliver high-quality work withefficient turnaround.
● Manage workflow to meet dynamic deadlines and take ownership of projects.
● Address project obstacles collaboratively and devise solutions with team members.
● Participate in client meetings, contribute to project proposals, and assist in pricing estimates.

Required Education & Experience:
● Minimum of 1-2 years of drafting experience.
● Experience with electronic templating equipment (Proliner and LT-2D3D Laser Templator).
● Completion of high school diploma (mandatory).
● College program in drafting, engineering, or a related technical field (preferred).

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
● Proficiency in AutoCAD.
● Strong understanding of drafting principles and techniques.
● Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
● Superior attention to detail, organization, and neatness.
● Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
● Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
