Cabinetmaker Job

Allegiant Glass and Shower Doors Ltd., located at 7678 132 Street, Surrey, BC, V3W 4M9 urgently require two permanent & full time Cabinetmaker. We welcome and encourage Youth, New immigrants, and Aboriginal people to apply.

Job Duties:
• Study plans, specifications or drawings of the products to be made.
• Mark outlines or dimensions of parts on wood.
• Trim joints and assemble parts together using glue and clamps and secure joints with nails, screws, fasteners etc. to build cabinets in various specified designs.
• Construct and assemble cabinet components, making sure that all pieces fit the dimensions as specified.
• Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, shapers, and use hand held tools to cut and shape parts and components of cabinets.
• Use a variety of woods and laminates to construct custom wooden cabinets and related products.
• Sand surfaces and finish products with stains, varnish, polish or veneer.
• Clean and maintain machinery and tools to ensure a safe working environment.

Job Requirements:
Education: Completion of Secondary School is required.
Experience: More than 6 months of work experience in a relevant field is required.
Language: English is required.
Number of positions: 2
Wage: $26.00 per hour for 40 hours per week along with 4% vacation pay.
