The ideal candidate will have strong woodworking skills, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and experience producing custom cabinetry with precision and care.
Key Responsibilities
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical specifications to plan cabinetmaking projects.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wooden components using woodworking machinery and specialized tools.
• Design and prepare specifications for customized cabinets with practical and efficient storage solutions.
• Use hand tools to refine wooden surfaces, edges, and joints to achieve accurate dimensions and smooth finishes.
• Assemble cabinet parts and fittings, ensuring proper alignment, secure connections, and structural stability.
• Perform sanding, veneering, staining, polishing, and laminate application to achieve the required finish.
• Calculate material requirements and assist in preparing project cost estimates.
• Inspect completed cabinetry to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications.
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas organized while following workplace safety procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Completion of secondary (high) school education is required.
- Minimum 3 years to less than 5 years of relevant cabinetmaking experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Good understanding of woodworking equipment, tools, and cabinet assembly techniques.
- Ability to work accurately from drawings, measurements, and specifications.
Skills and Personal Attributes

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
