Cabinetmaker Job

Description:
Hourly Salary: $35.00/hour
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Work Location: Unit 827, 210 Silver Star Boulevard, Scarborough, Ontario, Canada M1V 5J9
Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Duties:
1.Review design specifications and blueprints to determine dimensions and materials.
2.Mark and measure wood pieces based on design plans and instructions.
3.Use woodworking machinery and hand tools to craft wooden components.
4.Assemble parts and sub-assemblies by joining and reinforcing with adhesives or fasteners.
5.Smooth and finish wooden surfaces by sanding and applying coatings.
6.Repair and restore wooden items like furniture and fixtures.
7.Estimate materials, tools, and time required for cabinetry projects.
8.Shape, cut, and form wood to fit specific design requirements.
9.Inspect work for accuracy, quality, and adherence to safety standards.
10.Ensure proper handling and storage of tools and materials during projects.

Job Requirements:
a.At least 1 year of experience as Cabinetmaker or related woodworking experience;
b.No education required; completion of secondary school or higher is an asset;
c.Ability to measure and cut wood with precision;
d.Attention to detail and quality control;
e.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills;
f.Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
