Kitchen Cabinet Co is a Richmond, British Columbia-based cabinet design and fabrication factory specializing in custom cabinetry and millwork for both commercial and residential projects, including offices, shops, houses, and townhouses. With over 13 years of industry experience, the company has expanded its services to encompass millwork and old house renovations, catering to a diverse clientele of commercial and individual clients.
We are currently looking for professional experienced Kitchen and Cabinet Designer to join our team.
Job Title: Cabinetmaker (NOC 72311)
Job duties
Consult with clients to determine needs
Study plans, specifications or drawings of articles to be made, or prepare specifications
Develop 3-D models showing kitchen and cabinet designs using computer-assisted design (CAD) software and graphics software
Advise on selection of colours, finishes and materials
Mark outlines or dimensions of parts on wood
Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers, and use hand tools to cut, shape and form parts and components
Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit using glue and clamps and reinforce joints using nails, screws or other fasteners
Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products
Estimate amount, type and cost of materials required.
Requirements
Be able to communicate in English
Completed at least Secondary School
Must have at least 1 year experience in making cabinets for the kitchen and cabinet making industry in Canada
Willing to do site visits in British Columbia
Have a BC Driver’s Licence
Position Details:
Position Available: Cabinetmaker (NOC 72311)
Terms of Employment: Full Time
Working Hours: 30 - 40 hours per week
Salary: $36.60 per hour
