CABINETMAKER Job

Unique Store Fixtures Ltd. is seeking 5 experienced Cabinetmakers to join our team in Concord, Ontario.
We are looking for skilled, dependable professionals with extensive cabinetmaking experience who can produce high-quality custom cabinetry, furniture, fixtures, kitchen cabinets and vanities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Employment: Permanent, Full-Time
Wage: 38.00–40.00 per hour, to be negotiated
Hours: 30–40 hours per week
Start Date: As soon as possible
Experience: 5 years or more
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Language: English

Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
Operating woodworking machinery, including power saws, jointers, and shapers, to cut, shape and form components;
Reading and interpreting plans, specifications and drawings;
Preparing specifications for custom-made cabinets;
Shaping and finishing wood using appropriate hand tools;
Trimming joints and fitting parts and subassemblies to form complete units;
Sanding wooden surfaces and applying veneer, stain, polish, varnish and laminated plastics;
Operating CADD and other computer software systems where required;
Manufacturing and working with cabinets, furniture, kitchen cabinets and vanities;
Repairing or restyling wooden furniture, fixtures and related products;
Estimating required materials and costs;
Instructing apprentices and supervising other workers; and
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of cabinetmaking experience, strong attention to detail, excellent woodworking and finishing skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
Experience with custom cabinetry, furniture, cabinet remodeling, kitchen cabinets and vanities is particularly relevant to this position.
