Trained Wild Carpentry is seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team. The position primarily involves the installation, fitting, adjustment, and modification of custom cabinetry and architectural millwork at residential and commercial project sites throughout the Lower Mainland. The successful candidate will work with cabinetry components to ensure proper alignment, functionality, and finishing in accordance with project drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, built-in cabinetry, and other custom millwork at residential and commercial project sites.
• Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and installation plans to determine the placement and installation procedures for cabinetry and millwork products.
• Measure installation areas and verify site dimensions to ensure proper fitting and alignment of cabinetry components.
• Modify, trim, and adjust cabinet components to accommodate site conditions and ensure precise installation.
• Use woodworking machinery and hand tools to cut, shape, or adjust cabinetry components during installation.
• Secure cabinets and millwork products to walls, floors, and supporting structures using appropriate fasteners and hardware.
• Inspect installed cabinetry to ensure it is level, aligned, and meets project specifications and quality standards.
• Repair, refinish, or modify existing cabinets and wood fixtures during renovation or installation projects.
• Maintain tools and equipment and follow workplace safety procedures and site safety requirements.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to ensure cabinetry installation is completed efficiently and according to project timelines.

Requirements:
• Secondary school completion is required.
• Completion of a cabinetmaking apprenticeship program or relevant work experience in cabinet installation, cabinetmaking, or custom woodworking is an asset.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and installation plans.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise measurements and adjustments.
