Job Description:
Barzotti Woodworking is a leading Canadian cabinetry manufacturer located in Guelph, Ontario. We are currently recruiting for the position of Cabinet Maker. This is a full time, permanent opportunity with competitive compensation, RRSP match & benefits following probation.
About the Role: We are looking for a focused individual who has a proven record of completing work on time and accurately. This individual would be able to work both independently on jobs, and in collaboration with other people/departments on certain projects. We are looking for someone with a mid-level of experience looking to grow their career in a shop with opportunity for growth.
Duties
• Operating woodworking machines and using hand tools to cut, shape and form wood
• Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit and reinforce joints
• Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or paint to finished products.
• Fitting parts together using glue and clamps
• Build custom parts where required
• Mentor young workers, providing correct skills and technique
• Take a project from blue print to completion
• Work overtime when required
Requirements
• Detail oriented, with eye for detail on intricate projects.
• Skilled with AutoCAD, and ability to read blueprints
• Proficiency with woodworking tools and machinery
• Flexible and willing to go the extra mile to meet project deadlines or client schedules
• Prompt, diligent and personally organized
• Able to follow written instructions
• Responsible for maintaining and looking after company tools
• Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
• Woodworking diploma or equivalent work experience
