Cioffi’s Meat Market and Deli Ltd. in Burnaby, BC is looking for an experienced Butcher.

Conditions:

 Job Title: Butcher – Wholesale (NOC 63201)
 Working Hours: 40 hours per week (Full time, Permanent position)
 Wage: $24.04 / Hour (depending on skills and experience)
 Vacation: 10 days paid vacation per year or 4% gross salary
 Benefits: Extended health and dental costs shared 50/50 with employee
 Number of Positions: 1

Requirements:

 Education: Completion of secondary school
 Experience: Completion of a college or other meat-and-fish-cutting training program, or a minimum 6months of related experience
 Language: English
Job Duties:
• Cut, trim, and otherwise prepare standard cuts of meat, poultry, fish and shellfish for sale at self-serve counters or according to customers' orders
• Grind meats and slice cooked meats using powered grinders and slicing machines
• Prepare special displays of sausages, beef, lamb, chicken, pork, veal, turkey, and seafoods.
• Shape, lace and tie roasts and other meats, poultry or fish
• Wrap and package prepared meats, poultry, fish and shellfish
• Manage inventory, keep records of sales and determine amount, product line and freshness of products according to company and customer requirements
• Ensure food storage conditions are adequate
• Weigh meats for sale
