Butcher Job

• Receive, clean and prepare meat, poultry and fish products for processing;
• Prepare meat and for cooking including cutting, deboning, and portioning according to customer orders in the restaurant;
• Classify, shape, and wrap meat products for BBQ;
• Package and store meat to ensure quality for delivery to customers;
• Manage stock levels, record inventory and sales position, and report to manager for restaurant purchasing plans;
• Stock and arrange the Meat Cooler following approved food safety standards;
• Comply with all food health and hygiene requirements under food safety legislation;
• Supervise and train new meat cutters and ensure their operations meet all restaurant standards.

• Completion of secondary school, training in butchery or work experience in restaurant, or butcher shops is preferred;
• 2 years of experience in meat inventory and management;
• Experience with general kitchen techniques is required;
• Proficient in using knives and handling sharp tools with care;
• Capable of heavy lifting (20 to 45 lbs);
• Position required standing, bending, and walking the entire workday;
• Good practical knife skills and hand-eye coordination;
• Willing to evening, weekends, and holidays;
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
