Job Description:
Prestigious global law firm seeks a Business Litigation savvy Associate with 3+ years of experience to join its expanding New York Business Restructuring + Insolvency team.

Candidate will have the following: Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial, securities, or bankruptcy litigation within an Am law firm setting (experience will be current or very recent) ; Ability to exhibit strong legal and business acumen across a wide range of cases, with proven ability to counsel clients effectively ; Highly adept at taking/defending depositions and arguing cases ; Prior bankruptcy experience preferred but not required.

Stellar academic credentials from a top-tier law school (Law Review and/or Moot Court accolades desired); Strong research, verbal & written communication skills, and analytic skills required ; NY Bar.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

-Representing a diverse clientele including debtors, creditors, creditors’ committees, ad hoc committees, secured lenders, and specialist investors.
-Finding solutions for a broad range of participants in distressed markets.
-Managing discovery and writing briefs.
-Exhibiting sound legal and business knowledge in working on a broad spectrum of cases and counseling clients.
-Taking/defending depositions and arguing cases.
