Duties:
• Conduct market research and feasibility analysis on specific industries as required by international investors who plan to launch project or start business in Atlantic Canada.
• Assess business opportunities in Atlantic Canada and develop strategies to attract venture capital and private equity investors from worldwide.
• Review and evaluate commercial investment plans and industrial development proposals and provide consultation on planning and starting of new businesses in Atlantic Canada.
• Provide market entry consulting service to Atlantic business owners who plan to expand business in Asian market.
• Respond to enquiries from international business delegation groups visiting Atlantic Canada concerning local investment opportunities.
• Develop social and economic profiles of Atlantic Canada to encourage industrial and commercial investment and development.
• Plan and organize activities such as workshops, meetings, and seminars in worldwide financial center such as Hong Kong for the purposes of attracting investors and establishing network.
• Plan development projects with representatives of a wide variety of industrial and commercial enterprises, community and business associations and government agencies.
• Represent the foreign investors on intergovernmental, regional, and other working groups, forums, conferences and working teams with a high degree of tact and professionalism.

Skills and Qualifications:
• University degree or above.
• Minimum 3 years’ business development or related experiences.
• Preference will be given to those with experience in investment sales related work.
• Demonstrated an ability to achieve performance targets and work in a high paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills are an asset.
• Abilities to negotiate effectively with investment intermediaries and partners.
• Outstanding business acumen, ability to work independently and as a team player.
