Job Description:
EAP Construction is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our growing team and work directly with the CEO to lead and scale our business development efforts. This is a key strategic role focused on accelerating our expansion, building a repeatable client acquisition system, and promoting EAP across the construction industry.
You’ll be at the forefront of driving growth, creating new opportunities, and representing the EAP brand. If you thrive in networking environments, are passionate about construction, and want to help shape the future of a company with ambitious goals, this is your role.
In addition to business development, you’ll also support human resources processes, from recruitment and event participation to employer branding, and provide operational assistance on active projects as needed. The role will also involve traveling to meet with clients and perform site visits, ensuring strong relationships and on the-ground insight into ongoing and upcoming work.
Job Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Strategy
• Partner directly with the CEO to develop and implement a scalable business development system.
• Identify new markets, strategic partners, and upcoming project opportunities.
• Lead the preparation of proposals, qualifications packages, and client presentations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other industry stakeholders.
• Attend industry events, conferences, and client meetings to represent the company.
• Travel to client offices and project sites as required to support business development efforts.
• Track all leads and communications through EAP’s CRM.
• Contribute to marketing and promotional strategies.
HR & Recruitment Support
• Assist the HR team with recruitment processes for both office and field roles.
• Participate in organizing and attending career fairs and trade events.
• Help promote EAP’s culture and employer brand through outreach initiatives.
• Support screening, interviewing, and candidate engagement as needed.
Project & Operational Support
• Assist in pre-construction coordination, proposal submissions, and workload planning.
• Support internal team alignment and communication with client teams.
• Contribute to project administration or tracking when required.
What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public relations, Engineering, Management, Finance or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in business development, recruitment, or project coordination in construction or a related industry.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and networking skills.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings, events, and site visits.
• Knowledge of Western Canadian construction markets is an asset.
• Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office; experience with CRM platforms is preferred.
• Organized, adaptable, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
