Business Development Lead Job

Zoetis, Inc. The Business Development Lead will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and executing external transactions to meet Zoetis’ strategic and financial objectives. The successful candidate will work closely with the Global Head of Business Development and Commercial Business leadership team, partnering with multiple cross-regional functions including Legal, Finance, Manufacturing, Research and Development, and Global Commercial Development (GCD). Lead and execute a range of business development transactions including acquisitions (company, business, or assets), divestitures, research and licensing deals, distribution agreements. Drive rigorous strategic analyses, partnering with BD Finance to ensure accurate valuations, due diligence, and risk assessment. Prepare and deliver presentations on transaction opportunities for senior executives and the Zoetis Executive Team. Build and maintain strong external networks with industry partners, potential collaborators, and advisors to identify pipeline opportunities. Serve as a key liaison across functions ensuring effective integration of business, legal, financial, tax, and operational considerations into BD decisions. Salary: $185,000.00-$266,000.00. Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, Management, Business Administration or related and 7 years of experience or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, Management, Business Administration or related and 10 years of experience required. Telecommuting may be permitted. When not telecommuting, must report to worksite. Up to 25% mostly domestic travel to company and client sites.
