Permanent Position: Bus Mechanic (NOC 72410)

Work Location: CROSSFIELD, AB
Wage Rate: $36 Hourly, for 35-40 hours per week
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Day, Morning, Evening, Night, Weekend, Overtime if required.
Education: High School.
Experience: 2-3 years of experience in related filed.
Languages: English.
Job Duties:
• Inspect buses and diagnose faults and malfunctions using computerized diagnostic equipment and other testing devices.
• Perform preventive maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrication, tune-ups, and safety inspections.
• Repair, adjust, or replace diesel and gasoline engines and related components.
• Inspect, repair, and replace transmission systems, clutches, drive shafts, differentials, and axles.
• Diagnose and repair brake systems, including air brakes, hydraulic brakes, ABS systems, and related components.
• Repair and maintain steering, suspension etc..
• Test and repair electrical and electronic systems, including lighting, wiring, starters, alternators, batteries, and onboard diagnostic systems.
• Repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in buses.
• Inspect and repair fuel, exhaust, emission control, and cooling systems.
• Perform safety inspections to ensure buses comply with provincial and federal transportation regulations.
• Tests to verify repairs and ensure proper vehicle performance.
• Complete maintenance records, inspection reports, and repair documentation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow workplace health and safety procedures.
• Order and maintain inventory of replacement parts and shop supplies when required.
• Provide emergency roadside repair services, if needed.
