Building Maintenance Worker Job

We are currently looking for an experienced Building Maintenance Worker who will be working closely with our management team to ensure that our premises are always maintained in superb condition and in accordance with the Jewish Orthodox traditions and rules. Key responsibilities are the following:
• Check the building systems on a daily basis, assist tradespersons if the inspection requires their involvement
• Ensure that safety and security measures are in place
• Respond to maintenance requests
• Perform routine adjustments and minor repairs, make service calls
• Prepare interior and exterior of the property for the upcoming events
• Be responsible for inventory control, purchase necessary supplies and equipment
• Perform other duties as requested

• Secondary school diploma
• 6 months of experience in position with similar duties
• Knowledge of Hebrew, Spanish and Russian is an asset
• Knowledge of Jewish Orthodox traditions and rules is an asset
• Knowledge and understanding of all maintenance systems (security and fire alarm systems, boilers, etc.) is an asset
• Able to build and cultivate superior relationships with internal and external contacts

BENEFITS AND SALARY
• Full-time, permanent position consisting of 30-40 weekly work hours
• The remuneration will be set at CA$21.00 per hour
• Occasional overtime may be required. Overtime pay will apply after 44 hours of work per week and will be remunerated at one and a half time the regular pay rate
