Job Title: Building Maintenance Worker (NOC 73201)
Location: Ottawa, ON
Hours: 40 hours per week, permanent full-time
Vacancy: 1
Wages: $22.00/hour
Job duties:
• Identify any potential hazards in the building and ensure all necessary precautions are undertaken
• Ensure building are well maintained including dusting and mopping, etc.
• Conduct or supervise the minor repair, installation and operation of electrical and electronic equipment
• Supervise the building and testing of equipment and systems
• Monitor and control supplies and equipment; order supplies and tools as necessary
• Ensure completion of maintenance and safety inspection program or facilities and equipment
• Complete waste and recycling duties on established pick-up days and maintain a positive working relationship with City workers or contracted vendors
• Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair, water and tend to plants, Lawns
Experience and Education Requirement:
• Completion of High School Diploma
• Experience in on-site maintenance is required
