Bridge Project Manager Job

Overview
An established engineering organization is seeking an experienced Bridge Project Manager to lead transportation infrastructure and bridge projects across Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic region.

This opportunity is ideal for a senior bridge engineer who is transitioning into a project management leadership role and is ready to take on greater responsibility for project delivery, client relationships, team leadership, and business growth.

Projects range from medium-sized infrastructure assignments to large-scale transportation and design-build initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead bridge and structural engineering projects from planning through delivery
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and resources
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients
- Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams
- Provide technical oversight and review of engineering deliverables
- Monitor project progress and identify potential risks
- Manage consultants and project stakeholders
- Prepare project reports, presentations, and financial updates
- Support staff development through mentoring and coaching
- Participate in business development and proposal activities

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering focus preferred)
- 10+ years of bridge and structural design experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Project management experience within transportation or infrastructure projects
- Strong leadership and client communication skills

Preferred
- Experience with transportation agencies and public infrastructure projects
- Design-Build and alternative project delivery experience
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams
- Experience working on large-scale transportation infrastructure programs

Work Schedule
Hybrid schedule:
- 3 days in office
- 2 days remote

Compensation
- Base Salary: $140,000 – $170,000
- Performance Bonus Eligibility
