Salary: $18.50 per hour; The gross salary paid is subject to applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions such as EI and CPP.

Other Benefits: Group insurance benefits including medical, dental and eye care coverage on cost sharing basis would be offered to the employee upon completion of six months of employment period with the organization

Vacation: 4% of the gross salary

Hours of Work: 35-44 Hours a week; Overtime rate (X1.5) applicable after 44 hours of work per week

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook breakfast menu items such as eggs, sandwiches, wraps, hash browns, soups, and other fast-food items according to company recipes and food safety standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment including grills, ovens, toasters, fryers, and food preparation machines safely and efficiently.
• Portion, assemble, and package food orders to ensure consistency, quality, and timely service during busy breakfast hours.
• Monitor food quality, freshness, cooking temperatures, and presentation to maintain company standards.
• Replenish food supplies and ingredients in cooking and service areas during operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, food preparation areas, storage areas, and workstations in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Store food properly and rotate stock following FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory procedures.
• Assist in receiving and organizing food deliveries and report shortages or damaged products to supervisors.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures, including safe food handling and cleanliness standards.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, cashiers, and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient customer service and smooth kitchen operations.
• Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties, including setup, cleaning, and equipment shutdown procedures.

• Completion of secondary school is required.
• 3-6 months experience in food preparation, fast food, kitchen helper, line cook, or related food service positions is required.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques, safe food handling procedures, and kitchen sanitation standards is required.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment during busy breakfast and peak service hours.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, toasters, and food preparation machines safely and efficiently.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts including early mornings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
• Basic communication skills in English Language are required.
