Job Overview
We are currently seeking fluent Bosnian, Serbian, and Croatian–speaking interpreters for immediate, as-needed freelance interpretation assignments in and around the Richmond, VA area. This role involves providing interpretation services for limited English–proficient individuals during physical therapy appointments.
This is ongoing, on-call work scheduled based on your availability.
Compensation
$20 per hour
$0.25 per mile reimbursement
Responsibilities
Provide accurate, clear, and professional Bosnian/Serbian/Croatian-to-English and English-to-Bosnian/Serbian/Croatian interpretation during physical therapy sessions
Facilitate effective communication between patients and healthcare providers
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Arrive on time and fully prepared for scheduled assignments
Requirements
100% spoken fluency in Bosnian, Serbian, and/or Croatian and English
Reliable personal transportation and ability to travel locally
Availability for immediate start and on-call assignments
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Prior interpreting experience preferred but not required
Professional demeanor and ability to work in healthcare environments
