Boom Truck Crane Operator
B K Baun Landscape Ltd. is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Boom Truck Crane Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will transport and operate a hydraulic boom truck at various job sites to assist with lifting, moving, and placing landscaping and construction materials.
Job Details
Location: Ajax, Ontario
Workplace: Various job sites
Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Wage: $41.00 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Schedule: Morning and Day shifts
Start Date: As soon as possible
Job Duties
Drive and operate a hydraulic or telescoping boom truck to lift, move, position, and place landscaping and construction materials at job sites
Operate boom controls safely and efficiently during lifting and placement operations
Perform pre-operational inspections and ensure safe operation of truck-mounted crane equipment
Calculate load weights and crane capacities prior to rigging and hoisting operations
Safely perform rigging, lifting, and material placement operations in accordance with workplace safety procedures
Inspect equipment before and after use to ensure safe operation
Communicate with ground crews and assist with load positioning and site coordination as required
Travel to various work locations throughout the region
Perform routine equipment cleaning and basic maintenance checks
Requirements
Completion of secondary school is usually required
Valid DZ driver’s licence required
Experience operating boom trucks, mobile cranes, or similar hydraulic lifting equipment is preferred
Mobile crane operator certification or industry crane training may be required depending on equipment classification and provincial regulations
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
Ability to perform physically demanding work
Reliable, dependable, and team-oriented
