Title of position: Bookkeeper

Terms of employment: Full-time Permanent
Wages: $36.60 /hour, 5,856/month
Benefits: Extended health care and 4% vacation pay

Location of work: 1218 - 650 West Georgia St, Vancouver BC V6B 4N8

Main job duties include:
 Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
 Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance of books, maintain general ledgers and prepare financial statements
 Calculate and prepare cheques for payrolls and for utility, tax and other bills
 Prepare reconciliations between bank and credit card
 Assist with working papers files and financial statement preparation

We are looking for someone with the following skills:
 Proficient with MS Office programs, including Excel and Word
 Well organized and excellent at multi-tasking
 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
 Adheres to reporting deadlines
 Strong verbal and written communication skills
 Team player but has the ability to work independently as well

Qualifications:
College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma in accounting filed from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
Minimum experience: 1-2 years’ related experience
