Job description
Job title: Bookkeeper (NOC 12200)
Wage: $33.50/hour
Work hours: Monday-Friday, 35 hours/week
Address: 402 Water St, St. John's, NL A1C 1C9
Nature: Full-time permanent.
Language: English
Vacation: 2 weeks of paid vacation per annum or remuneration of 4f basic salary
Job requirements
Completion of college diploma is a must.
At least two years of working experience as a bookkeeper or similar role is a must.
Familiar with basic accounting principles, general ledger entries, and bookkeeping practices.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Docs, and basic data entry.
Capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
Ability to maintain accurate records and spot errors or inconsistencies.

Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll.
Calculate fixed assets and depreciation.
Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
Maintain general ledgers and financial statements.
Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports.
Prepare tax returns and prepare trial balance of books.
