Simba Flooring Corp., a flooring company in Richmond, BC, is seeking a permanent, full-time Bookkeeper to manage daily accounting operations. The ideal candidate will maintain financial records, handle AP/AR, and ensure timely reporting. Join our team and help keep our financial operations running smoothly.
Job Duties:
• Maintain accurate records of general ledgers and daily financial transactions.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Reconcile bank statements with internal records to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in payroll processing and maintain up-to-date employee payroll records.
• Prepare financial statements such as income statements, trial balances, etc.
• Calculate and prepare tax remittances and other government filings.
• Assist accountants with annual tax declaration.
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Qualifications:
• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Education or training in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of one year of relevant experience is required.
• Proficiency with bookkeeping software.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy in data entry.
• Ability to manage deadlines and maintain confidentiality of financial information.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work independently.
