Bookkeeper (NOC 12200) Job

Bhandal Contractors (2011) Inc. is looking for a Bookkeeper (NOC 12200) to join their growing team.

• Position: Bookkeeper
• Work Hours: 30 hrs. per week
• Wage: $37.00
• Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
• Start date: ASAP
• Benefits: 10 vacation days per calendar year
• Work Location: 5719 Joyce St., Vancouver, British Columbia, V5R 4H8

Key duties and Responsibilities
• Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
• Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance of books, maintain general ledgers and prepare financial statements
• Calculate and prepare cheques for payrolls and for utility, tax and other bills
• Complete and submit tax remittance forms, workers' compensation forms, pension contribution forms and other government documents
• Prepare tax returns and perform other bookkeeping services
• Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports as needed

Requirements/Education and other requirements
• Completion of secondary school required
• Courses in Accounting or Bookkeeping combined with several years of experience as a Financial or Accounting Clerk are required
• Language: English mandatory
• Organized, self-disciplined, motivated and able to work independently
• Interpersonal communication skills, communicate effectively both written and orally
• A strong commitment to team culture, positive attitude
