Tasks:
- To keep accurate records of all financial transactions related to Pacific Coast Roofing & Contracting Ltd.’s operations. This includes recording invoices, receipts, expenses, and payments.
- Manage the company's accounts payable, which involves processing invoices and payments to suppliers and vendors.
- Manage the company's accounts receivable, which involves sending invoices to clients and customers and processing payments.
- Manage the company's payroll, which involves calculating employee wages and processing payments.
- Reconcile the company's bank statements with its financial records to ensure that all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to help the company understand its financial position and make informed decisions.
- Assist with tax preparation, including calculating and filing payroll taxes and preparing financial statements for tax purposes.
- Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports on an ad hoc basis for the management.
- Assist in preparing and managing the company’s budget, monitoring expenses, and identifying areas for cost savings.
- Assist in preparation of Workers’ Compensation and General Liability audits; maintain weekly and quarterly transactions and recordkeeping of payroll tax liabilities.
- Oversee all day-to-day bookkeeping responsibilities at the company’s Kelowna office.
- Check and verify source documents such as invoices, receipts, and other information.
