Job Description:
Position: Bookkeeper
1432864 B.C. Ltd., operating as Bayleaf Indian Fusion located at 201 Fairway Drive, Fernie, British Columbia V0B 1M5, is looking to hire a Bookkeeper. The applicant should have a minimum of six months of related experience or a diploma/certificate/training in a relevant field. This is a full-time permanent position with 30–40 hours of work per week.
Wage: $37.00 per hour
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
1. Process payroll for staff and prepare payroll cheques.
2. Maintain and reconcile bank accounts, client accounts, and general ledgers monthly.
3. Balance and maintain accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
4. Prepare and maintain general ledgers and financial statements for the restaurant.
5. Liaise with the company’s accountant to assist in filing GST and income tax returns.
6. Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely vendor and supplier payments.
7. Compile and maintain financial records, including coordination with other affiliated restaurant businesses owned by the same proprietor.
