Position Info:
• Position: Cook
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $20.00/hour
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

Job Duties:
• Prepare and cook a variety of Korean and Japanese dishes, including rice bowls, soups, fried chicken, sushi-related menu items, and other regular restaurant menu items
• Plan daily food preparation and estimate the ingredients required based on menu items, customer demand, and kitchen operations
• Determine appropriate portion sizes and assist with controlling food costs and minimizing waste
• Requisition and organize food, ingredients, and kitchen supplies required for daily service
• Prepare meals according to customer requests, including modifications for food allergies or dietary restrictions
• Inspect kitchen, food preparation areas, and equipment to ensure cleanliness, food safety, and proper sanitation standards
• Assist in training kitchen helpers or junior staff in food preparation, cooking procedures, and safe food handling practices
• Maintain inventory records of food, supplies, and kitchen materials, and report shortages as needed
• Clean and maintain workstations, kitchen equipment, and food preparation areas during and after service

Job Requirements:
• Experience: 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience is required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Language: English
