Block Kitchen + Bar is seeking F/T Cooks Job

Position Info:
• Position: Cook
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $21.18~$24.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 2
• Work Location: 101-538 Yates St, Victoria, BC V8W 1K8

Benefits:
• 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:
• Prepare and cook a variety of global-inspired dishes in line with Block’s menu and standards
• Work with the kitchen team to ensure timely, consistent service during busy hours
• Delegate tasks and oversee kitchen assistants and helpers
• Follow recipes and presentation guidelines while also contributing to daily features
• Track and maintain inventory levels by keeping a record of ingredient usage, supplies, and equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
• May support training of new kitchen personnel

Job requirements:
• Experience: 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience is required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Language: English
