As a Bell Person responsibilities will include:

Performs other duties as required by Management to provide 100% Guest Satisfaction and genuine hospitality to our Guest.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Bell Person responsibilities will include:
- Greets and escorts guests upon arrival and during check-out process
- Welcomes guest in a professional yet personal manner and assists with baggage to the front desk
- Maintains awareness about guest profile through Opera, and daily briefings
- Escorts guests to their room; places baggage in the room
- Inspects guest room for order and adequate supplies and describes amenities to guest during the room orientation of the guest when required, and as defined in the standards of The Radisson Blu Hotel
- Stores luggage and issues claim checks as requested
2. Assists guests throughout their stay
- Keeps current on hotel accommodations, services and area attractions
- Possess knowledge of the Chicago downtown area to assist guests with information on special events (theater, movies, entertainment, restaurants, etc.)
- Promotes the hotel and area services and attractions
- Responds to customer inquiries for information in a timely manner and to the standard of Radisson Blu Hotel.
- Assists guests get in and out of vehicles
- Arranges for local ground transportation through the Concierge
- Delivers phone messages, mail or packages, faxes, flowers, etc. to guest rooms to the standard of Radisson Blu Hotel
- Prepares and delivers newspapers during night duty to every guest room, considering Guest Preferences.
- Pages customers in lobby or other areas of hotel as needed
- Cooperates in the performance of any reasonable tasks requested to ensure Guest Satisfaction
- Deliver faxes, messages, packages, flowers, wine and other items to guests in their guestrooms.
- Will assist other F/O Areas as needed
- Will give directions and escort guests within the hotel
Maintains the upkeep and appearance of the hotel lobby and entrance
- Replaces promotional items as needed
- Performs light cleaning
- Keeps valet parking board and baggage storage area clean organized and tidy
- Will immediately report any/ and check for maintenance and cleanliness observations to the concerned department
- Will maintain presentable Carts
Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson Blu experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of, genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations
- Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service
- Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problems
- Provides Yes I Can! genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis
- Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction
- Performs other duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitality
Performs other duties as required by Management to provide 100% Guest Satisfaction and genuine hospitality to our Guest.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Excellent verbal communication skills, strong written communication skills
- Works well independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Commitment to exceptional guest service
- A positive attitude
- Adhere to the policies and procedures of the hotel
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Perform repetitive hand and arm movements
- Must be able to squat, bend, kneel and twist
- Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time.
- Ability to make repeating movements of the arms, hands, and wrists.
- Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
- Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work with hand above shoulders.
- Ability to occasionally, regularly, frequently move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 200lbs.
- Ability to turn or twist body parts in a circular motion.
- Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud/noisy environment
