The Radisson Blu Mall of America features 500 design forward guest rooms, unique spaces and over 26,000 square feet of meeting space, and is the first hotel connected to the Mall of America.
As a Bell Attendant you assist in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests as they enter and exit the hotel. Specific responsibilities include:
1. Providing guests with genuine hospitality through hotel service standards:
• Greeting and escorting guests upon arrival and during check-out process
• Welcoming guests and assisting with luggage to the front desk
• Escorting guests to their room; placing luggage in the room
• Following the hotel points of service standards while escorting guest to their room and the functionality of their room
• Inspecting the guest room upon entering and adequate supplies and describes amenities to guest
• Storing luggage and issuing claim tickets as requested
• Having current knowledge of hotel accommodations, services and area attractions
• Recommending the hotel, restaurant, and amenities to guests
• Responding to customer inquiries for information
• Arranging for local ground transportation when requested
• Delivering phone messages, mail, packages, faxes, flowers, all in house amenities to guest rooms in a timely manner
2. Working as a team member to maintain pleasant work environment
• Maintaining positive inter-departmental relationships through the hotel and with outside vendors
• Following the Carlson Attendance Policy
• Reporting to work dressed according to Carlson Grooming Standards
• Maintaining the cleanliness of bell carts and bell closet
3. Creating 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson Blu experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of, genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations
• Giving personal attention, taking personal responsibility and using teamwork when providing guest service
• Listening, apologizing with empathy, finding a solution and following through when resolving guest problems
• Providing Yes I Can! genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis
• Assuming the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and using best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction
• Being posted in lobby at all times when not doing other assignments
4. Performing other duties as required by management to provide 100% Guest Satisfaction and genuine hospitality to our guests
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum of one year hospitality experience in Customer Service
• Strong verbal and interpersonal skills
• Works well independently or as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Commitment to exceptional guest service
• A positive attitude
• Adhere to the policies and procedures of the hotel
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
During the majority of the shift, must be able to:
• Perform repetitive hand and arm movements
• Ability to lift, pull, push up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to squat, bend, kneel and twist
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling of more than 50 pounds
