Position Summary
The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. This role requires strong customer-service skills, knowledge of drink recipes, and the ability to maintain a clean and organized bar environment.
Key Responsibilities
Greet customers, take drink and food orders, and provide menu recommendations.
Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
Maintain knowledge of bar menu, signature cocktails, and seasonal offerings.
Check identification to verify legal drinking age.
Handle cash, process payments, and operate POS systems accurately.
Keep bar area clean, sanitized, and well-stocked throughout the shift.
Monitor guest alcohol consumption and follow safety and responsible-service guidelines.
Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere.
Restock inventory, rotate stock, and complete opening/closing duties.
Collaborate with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
Qualifications
Previous bartending or hospitality experience preferred.
Knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems.
Must meet local legal age requirements for serving alcohol.
Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe) is a plus.
