is in need of BARBER
NOC CODE: 63210
EMPLOYMENT TERMS: Full Time - Permanent
JOB DUTIES:
1. Cut and trim hair according to client's instructions or preferences
2. Shave and trim beards and moustaches
3. May shampoo hair and provide other hair treatment, such as waving, straightening and tinting and may also provide scalp conditioning massages
4. Be updated on current trends and hairstyles and suggest what’s compatible with client's physical features
5. Analyze hair and scalp condition and provide basic treatment or advice on beauty care treatments for scalp and hair
6. May book appointments, sale products and order supplies
7. Keep work area clean.
WORKING HOURS:
1. 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
2. Work shift schedule varies between 9:00AM – 9:00PM (Monday to Saturday) and between 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Sundays
3. 2 days off per week on varied days
WAGE/BENEFITS: $23 per hour; Group Health Benefits (extended medical insurance, dental and disability insurance)
WORK LOCATION: 6200 McKay Avenue, 125, Burnaby, BC Canada V5H4L7
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
• Work Experience: At least 2 years of previous work experience as a barber/hairstylist.
