Bakery Manager Job

• Plan, direct and evaluate the bakery operations of the establishments engaged in retail sales
• Manage staff, assign duties and train staff about retail bakery operations
• Determine goods to be sold and implement price and credit policy changes if needed.
• Source and negotiate with vendors when necessary to procure merchandise for resale
• Develop and implement marketing strategies
• Plan budgets, authorize expenditures, and monitor revenues
• Evaluate and improve customer service and respond to customer requests and issues
• Address staffing requirements, including the hiring, development and retention of staff
• Operate machinery and provide support to retail bakers that include but not limited to, baking mixed doughs and batters, ensure quality of products meet established standards, prepare special orders.
• All other relevant tasks

• Secondary school diploma is required.
• 5 years of experience as a baker preferably in Balkan specialty foods,
• 1 year experience as a Retail Bakery Manager.
• Knowledge of Balkan baked goods and products is an asset.
