Now Hiring: Bakery Machine Operator - food and bevarage processing (Permanent F/T)

King Cone Wafflecone Mfg. Ltd. is a family owned and operated business located in Surrey, B.C. We have been in operation since 1982 creating the waffle cones that Canadians love.

We are currently seeking to hire two bakery/wafflecone machine operators in permanent, full time positions, to start as soon as possible. You will be based out of Surrey, BC, working with our team (No remote work). This is a bakery/food processing plant. Our starting wage is $28.00/hour based upon a 40-hour work week.

You should be willing to be flexible with shift work, on-call and willing to work overtime. Hours can be morning, day, and evening as well as weekends. You must speak English with excellent oral communication skills. You should have completed high school and have between 1 to less than 7 months experience.

Specifically, you will be performing corrective machine adjustments; record production information; observe gauges, computer printouts and video monitors to verify specified processing conditions; clean machines and immediate work areas; inform supervisor of mechanical malfunctions or product irregularities; make adjustments to process variables; maintain shift log of production and other data; set up and adjust processing and packaging machines; check products for defects and to ensure conformance to company standards. You will be using mixing machines that are involved in baking or cooking waffle cones (single function machine).

You will be doing repetitive tasks and should have good manual dexterity. We require attention to detail with good hand eye co-ordination. You may be standing for extended periods, and working in a fast paced environment. You should have excellent written communication. We are looking for someone who is flexible and a team player. The work station may be noisy and hot.
