Responsibilities
Tasks
• Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders
• Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
• Bake mixed dough and batters
• Prepare special orders
• Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods
• Draw up production schedules
• Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
• Inspect kitchen and food service areas
• Operate machinery
• Organize and maintain inventory

Job Duties
• Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, vision, and values of the Rocky Mountain Bagel Co.
• Prepares quality bagels and muffins consistently by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
• Training and onboarding of all new team members and familiarizing them all with the bakery operations.
• Analyzes par lists to determine desired number of bagels required for both locations.
• Operates a heavy-duty mixer to combine dough ingredients, and scrubs and sanitizes mixer once bagel production has completed.
• Pay attention to detail when it comes to bagel size, shape and feel.
• Delivers bagels every evening between store locations.
• Ability to work alone and follow all procedures to ensure you are working safely.
• Recognizes issues with machinery and finds solutions to fixing machinery malfunctions.
• Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume to keep the bakery operating to standard and to set a positive example for the team.
• Communicates information to supervisors and managers so that the team can respond accordingly.
• Responsible for keeping bakery in a clean and orderly condition, by performing cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, mixers, belts, and wiping down surface areas.
• Maintains regular and punctual attendance standards so that the team can operate efficiently and effectively.
• Available to work flexible hours that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Follows all store operating policies and standards, including providing quality products, store safety and security.

Other
Minimum 3 years of experience of commercial baking experience is required
