Job Description:
- Coordinate and oversee badminton training programs at various skill levels to ensure consistent training standards and athlete development.
- Design, develop, and oversee structured training programs, seasonal plans, and tournament preparation schedules.
- Plan and conduct high-quality training and practice sessions focused on technical skills, tactics, physical conditioning, and match readiness.
- Motivate and prepare athletes for competitions and support their ongoing development, providing leadership, performance guidance, and competition strategies.
- Analyze and evaluate athletes’ performance, monitoring progress and making program or training adjustments as required.
- Observe and evaluate prospective athletes’ skills and performance, identifying talent and recommending placement or advancement within the competitive program.
- Manage, mentor, and coordinate the coaching team, and assign and schedule coaches to ensure training plan alignment, consistent program delivery, performance feedback, and effective resource utilization.
- Participate in coaching clinic instruction and professional development activities, ensuring coaching practices align with current standards and methodologies.
- Support athletes during competitions and tournaments as needed.
Job Requirements:
Language: English

Work setting: Badminton training facility in an urban area

Experience required:
- Minimum 5 years of badminton or racket sport coaching experience, including experience working with athletes in structured training programs.
- Experience coaching competitive badminton athletes participating in regional, provincial or national tournaments is preferred.
- Experience coordinating training programs or assisting with the supervision of other coaches is considered an asset.

Personal suitability:
- Strong leadership, organization, and decision-making skills in a competitive sports environment;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to work effectively with athletes and families;
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours as required for competitions and peak training seasons.
