Job Description:
• Coordinate and oversee badminton training programs across all levels, with a focus on competitive program development and athlete progression
• Develop and implement structured training programs, seasonal plans, and competition preparation schedules
• Plan and conduct high-quality training and practice sessions focused on technical skills, tactics, physical conditioning, and match readiness
• Motivate and prepare athletes and teams for competitive events, providing performance guidance and competition strategies
• Analyze and evaluate athletes’ and teams’ performance, monitor progress, and adjust training programs as required
• Observe and evaluate prospective athletes’ skills and performance, identify talent, and recommend appropriate program placement
• Provide guidance and mentorship to assistant coaches, supporting the coordination of coaching activities to ensure consistent program delivery
• Assist in coordinating training schedules and program activities to ensure effective use of training facilities and resources
• Participate in coaching clinic instruction and ongoing professional development activities
• Coordinate and support preparation for local, regional, and national competitions, including on-site coaching and performance evaluation

Job Requirements:
Experience Required: 5 years of more
• International competition experience (as a coach and/or competitive athlete), with a proven track record of providing effective coaching support in high-level tournament environments.
• Minimum 3 years of Canadian national-level coaching experience, including training athletes for Canadian National Championships, Provincial Team programs, or other recognized high-performance development pathways.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and coordinating a coaching team
• Ability to travel and work flexible hours as required for competitions and peak training seasons.

• Excellent leadership, organization, and decision-making skills in a competitive sports environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to work effectively with athletes and families from diverse and multicultural backgrounds, and to foster a positive and inclusive training environment.
