Job Description:
The AVL & Technology Specialist position requires experience with a range of technologies, but specifically audio, video, and lighting systems is desired. The AVL & Technology Specialist will be the first point of contact for every event requiring audio/video/lighting support, and will assist with the troubleshooting of equipment, assist with managing tickets based on workload and difficulty, and assist with the inventory, maintenance, and deployment of technology throughout the campuses. The AVL & Technology Specialist reports to the Director of Technology and provides various levels of support, as assigned.
Role and Responsibilities:
Execute AVL portion of events
Provide technical support to faculty, staff, students, and parents
Assist with the deployment, operation, and maintenance of technology on all campuses
Assist with maintaining inventory and storage areas
Adheres to and honors Valley Christians' standards, policies, procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Performs other related assigned duties
Note: This role will require attendance at events and productions outside of the normal business hours of the school.

Qualifications and Skills:
Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ that is a consistent testimony among others

Faithfully attend and financially support a local church whose beliefs are in agreement with our school's Mission & beliefs
Must have and maintain a valid level one IVP fingerprint card
Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver's license
Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
Willing to be trained and learn systems you don’t have experience with
Must be knowledgeable about event production
Must be familiar with audio mixing consoles
Must be familiar with live presentation display software
Must be familiar with DMX addressing for lighting
Basic knowledge of wired and wireless networking
Basic knowledge of desktop and laptop computers
Must be self-motivated
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with a customer-service mindset
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two years supporting technology
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
Experience with ProPresenter
Knowledge of GrandMA lighting programming
Knowledge of Behringer and Digico Mixing Consoles
Experience with Zendesk or FreshDesk ticketing systems
Physical Requirements:
Use a computer (visual and keyboarding) for long periods of time
Able to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) 50% of the time
Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
At times requires stooping, bending, turning, pushing, pulling, reaching and climbing stairs (2-story)
Use of hands, fingers, arms to reach, grip and maneuver objects
Must be able to respond quickly to sounds (fire/security alarms)
Work in noisy and crowded school environment
Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings when needed
Frequent walking throughout the campus
