Job Title: Avionics Technician (Direct Hire & Contract Opportunities)

Location: Torrance / South Bay Area, CA (On-Site)

Pay Rate: $28.00 – $38.00 / hour (DOE) + Overtime

Veterans Alliance is actively recruiting experienced Avionics Technicians to support a premier aerospace manufacturer in Southern California. This opportunity offers long-term career stability, competitive compensation, and direct involvement in high-tempo aircraft assembly, flight-line testing, and component overhaul operations.

Key Responsibilities

Install, route, clamp, and tie complex aircraft electrical wire harnesses, coaxial cables, and avionics boxes per engineering blueprints and schematics.

Perform functional testing, system diagnostics, and operational checks on navigation, communication, radar, display, and power distribution systems.

Execute wire terminations, pin crimping, connector assembly, and precision soldering in compliance with aviation standards.

Perform pitot-static, transponder, and avionics system calibrations using specialized ground test equipment and multimeters.

Troubleshoot electrical faults, short circuits, and system discrepancies on active assembly and overhaul lines.

Maintain complete maintenance documentation, logbook entries, and strict adherence to hangar tool-control and safety protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements

3+ years of hands-on avionics installation, troubleshooting, or flight-line maintenance experience (military or civilian aviation).

High proficiency in reading and interpreting complex aircraft electrical schematics, wire lists, and technical directives.

Prior experience with rotary-wing or general aviation platforms is strongly preferred.

Active FAA A&P license, NCATT AET certification, or relevant military aviation rating (Navy AT/AE, Marine Avionics, Army 15N/15Y, Air Force Avionics) is a major plus.

Possess standard avionics hand tools (wire strippers, crimpers, pin insertion/extraction tools).

Must be able to pass a standard pre-employment background check and drug screen.
