Job Description:
Must haves:
* Garmin Installation Experience:
* Possess experience in Garmin installations.
* Private/Corporate Jet Experience:
* Experience with private/corporate jets, specifically under Part 91, Part 135, and Part 145 operations.
* Location and Relocation:
* Located in the correct company site or willing to relocate.
* Minimum Tooling Requirement:
* Must possess the minimum tooling required to perform assigned duties.
* Shift Flexibility:
* Must be able to work various shifts, as assigned by management.
* Manlift Qualification:
* Manlift qualified.
What you will do:
* Avionics Systems Installation, Troubleshooting, and Repairs:
* Perform installations, troubleshooting, and repairs of the most complicated nature on aircraft avionics systems and components.
* Ensure timely, clean, safe, and professional work with no rework, emphasizing a superior level of quality, craftsmanship, and efficiency.
* Technical Decision-Making:
* Make sound technical decisions as a technician and when functioning as a Production Inspector.
* Efficiently install, troubleshoot, function test, and repair complicated aircraft avionics systems across various makes and models.
* Record Keeping and Documentation:
* Expertly prepare various documents for record-keeping, following approved manuals, regulations, and OEM guidelines.
* Assist Junior Avionics Wiring Technicians in these efforts.
* Work Order System:
* Demonstrate proficiency in the work order system by completing accurate and timely discrepancies and corrective action statements.
* Assist Junior Avionics Wiring Technicians in these efforts.
* Knowledge Sharing and Mentorship:
* Willingly and effectively share knowledge and capabilities with less experienced technicians through On-the-Job Training (OJT) to foster their development, ensure accurate work, and support team goals.
* Act as a mentor and task expert for new avionics personnel.
* Technical Data Utilization:
* Proficiently and consistently locate and use appropriate technical data to accomplish any and all tasks.
* Environmental, Health, and Safety Compliance:
* Support, maintain, and comply with all Environmental, Health, and Safety federal, OSHA, state, and local regulations.
* Project Leadership:
* In the absence of the Crew Chief, accept ownership of the work scope and established milestones for successful and timely completion of projects.
* Lead minor Aircraft Projects as directed by the Crew Chief.
* Related Duties:
* Perform related duties as assigned by management.
