Job Description:
Safety and Efficiency:
Maintain the company’s objective of providing safe and efficient air transportation by adhering to company policies, procedures, FAA, and other government agency regulations.
Business Growth and Management:
Participate in company growth, marketing, and management, including budgeting and revenue management.
Program Planning and Execution:
Plan and execute programs involving personnel, equipment, policies, and procedures.
Decision-Making for Safety:
Make decisions involving immediate action for safety and the best interest of the organization.
Representation and Networking:
Represent the company with government, industry, and communities in activities to fulfill company objectives and industry events.
Personnel Management:
Determine general personnel requirements and consult with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Pilot, and Director of Maintenance regarding hiring and/or discharge of personnel.
Assist the Chief Pilot with interviews, hiring, and discharge of flight personnel.
Authorized Actions:
Authorized to submit, accept, or surrender company certificates.
Has authority to act for the company, including signing FAA correspondence and Operations Specifications.
Flight Operations Compliance:
Ensure all flight operations are conducted safely and in compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, Operations Specifications, and Company policies.
Regulatory Communication and Compliance:
Communicate with the FAA Flight Standards District Office and the National Transportation Safety Board.
File all required reports and documents.
Manual Revisions:
Devise revisions to the manual as needed.
Submit proposed revisions to the FSDO, receive confirmation of acceptability, and distribute revisions to all manual holders.
Safety Management System (SMS) Support:
Support and participate in the Safety Management System (SMS).
Information Distribution and Coordination:
Supervise distribution and posting of all information or memoranda affecting Company policy, route information, NOTAMS, and more.
Coordinate with the Director of Maintenance for the timely correction of mechanical irregularities and discrepancies.

Job Requirements:
1) Local to Indiana (25 miles from Chicago) - if not local, must be willing to relocate
2) Direct experience in Operations at Part 135 (preferred)
3) Private Aviation Management Experience
4) Private Pilot Experience (will not be flying but needs to meet FAR 119 requirements on Part 135)
5) Chief Pilot background (Preferred)
