We are currently seeking one experienced Automotive Technician to join our talented and passionate team in Calgary Alberta on a permanent full- time basis.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks including scheduled maintenance services like oil changes, tire rotation, wheel alignment, battery installations, headlight, and taillight installations.

• Adjust, test, inspect and repair engines, steering and braking systems, drive trains, vehicle suspensions, electrical systems, and air-conditioning systems.

• Repair, rebuild and service specific parts.

• Conduct diagnostic procedures to identify the cause of automotive issues and make recommendations to fix the issue.

• Advise customers on work, general vehicle conditions and future repair requirements.

• Inspect vehicles to ensure they meet provincial requirements for safety.

• Maintain knowledge of current industry best practices.

• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Skills and Experience

• Completion of secondary school, general education degree (GED) or vocational program.

• Completion of a related training program

• Minimum four (4) years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

• Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and components

• Understanding of the operation of standard shop machines.

• Proficient in using automotive diagnostic equipment. hand and power tools.

• Ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain automotive vehicles and various types of equipment, along with associated sub-systems.

• Strong reading, writing, and speaking skills in English.

• Demonstrate strong attention to detail.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as an essential part of a team.

•Ability to test drive all vehicles repaired. A valid drivers license is required.

• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.

• Work involves considerable exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.

• Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds.
